1964 NASA trained a group of monkeys over several years and eventually sent them up in a rocket to Mars.

The mission failed, and the craft disappeared off the radar. NASA had no idea what had happened to the ship or its occupants.

Fifty years later NASA was still unable to explain what happened to the chimps. 

But Adelaide, in South Australia, was hiding a secret.
